The London Attacks

Today there were terrorist attacks on London. We, here in York, saw the passing of events at a distance on the internet and TV. Everyone is praising the emergency effort put in place after the attacks. The toll is now on 38 dead, and about 700 wounded.

The question is now what the government will do. Will this attack be used as an excuse to take civil liberties away from us and to build a police state? We must not compromise our way of life. To do so would be a victory for terrorism.
