Sunday Thoughts (II): Spain and Portugal turning into dust

Today The Independent on Sunday writes on how british golfers and tourists are turning Spain and Portugal into dust. We realized the problem when we went to Alentejo last week, and by mistake we ended up in Algarve. There is nearly no place left to build monsters of concrete, the enriched portuguese builders — responsibles for the disaster together with local administrators and legislators at national level- have escaped with the money and left locals to face crisis. But corruption and greed die hard. Now the "Gallina dalle uova d'oro" is named Golf fields-drinking that little bit of water left.
